Music was tremendous, dancefloor was electrified until the very last minute...
And... Well, we had a really great time, all of us (even the orgas !).
This was without any doubt our best celebration yet in the City of Angels.
But there's more to come... much more... standby for Chapter 3

Shiv-r - dark electronics between Bangkok and London
A word from this excellent formation members: "Lee Bulig (known for his projects Stark and Neon Womb) and Peter Crane (from The Crystalline Effect and Plague Sequence) have been collaborating and we are now able to lift the veil of secrecy from our new project: Shiv-r.
Shiv-r is a musical symbiosis and promises to be our darkest and most unique project yet.
Shiv-r.com is a central part of the project and is based on a regularly updated blog-format. Lee Bulig will be posting on things like life in Bangkok and body modification and I'll be posting on life in London and music-tech.
A maxi-single will go to pressing in the next few weeks, but in the meanitme check out the website, listen to the tracks, and let us know your thoughts."

Hill - the movie
Whoever
loved the darkish haunted games should love Christophe Gans movie
as almost all the mythology is present on the screen one way or
another... Is it really scary though ? Big question... Will never
be half as scary as playing the games alone in the middle of the
night, sure thing...
Still, the movie's beautiful, classy high quality horror, great
design... And the last 45 minutes are pure ecstasy !!

performance at the MBK's Cosplay gathering, 1st of july.
Sporadic rain, sore throat and suffocating heat didn't stopped
them from playing a great set of metal powered J-Rock, with deliciously
darkish voice accents. Hell we love that amazing voice...

Next
Spike Batz' "Batz over Bangkok" party will be held at
the Noriega's (end of Silom soi 4) the 22 of April. Starting as
usual at 10 PM.
Can't say for sure the Dark Asia tribe will be there as, with all
due respect for his efforts, we don't really agree with Spike's
interpretations of the Bangkok's Goth scene nor the "one man's
vision" direction he wants to give to (these) parties. Also
fair to add that some participants of the early concept felt hurt
seeing an underground artistic & community oriented group effort
become a tool for Spike's self promotion. Not to mention lots of
humble contributions pushed aside and ignored.
To learn more about Spike's approach of the scene, you can read
his Herald Tribune International edition's interview here.
NB: Bit
of a modification, Sat. 22 will be a "Bring your own music
night".

Great event, organisation looked like perfect from the outside,
but we heard some discontent members concerning the neutrality of
the tattoo contest... Well, I guess there has to be some rumors
in any contest...
120 booths (really ?) representing many countries - Japan, France,
Taiwan, US, Austria... - and last but not least the impressive traditional
Thai style Tattoo : painful but spiritually powerful one... With
one of those you could escape ghosts but also bullets and knifes...

Our favorites ?
The Taiwan section was huge, and we've seen great stuff there. Big
up for those guys here www.hell18f.com.
One thing's for sure : next time we'll be in Taiwan we'll have some
ink done by this interesting people.
We've also appreciated the work and spirit of Chiang Mai (Thailand)
based Naga Tattoo Studio Naga
Tattoo. Obviously good, original and talented people !
And finally, the very
impressive artist Hori Waka, working traditional japanese tattoo
technic (if you have any link, you're welcome). Definitely a master
!!
But, of course, they were many other good and talented people at
the festival, so better than following advices, go and see by yourselves
next year.

"The Iranian Basketball Federation has banned its players
from having tattoos like many of their foreign counterparts, a student-run
news agency reported on Wednesday.
"It has been noticed recently that some basketball players
are copying foreign players and having themselves tattooed ... Which
is against the morals (of the Islamic republic) and unacceptable,"
the federation said.
